One Step Closer
Tomorrow morning, I’ll be going to Pearl Harbor to check in with MEPS … at five in the fricken morning. I can already tell this is going to be a long hard battle to fight with my body since my body has issues with the daylight morning hours. So, I’ll probably be watching the Ultimate Fighter and then promptly passing out tonight. I just need to remember to send out the MedQuest docs along with my GET cancellation notice.
I’m one step closer. Going to the recruiter yesterday revealed that I had line-scores over 120. The MOS that I really wanted wasn’t available. I’m debating if I should delay entry until it becomes available although the “suggested” MOS does seem fairly interesting in that “mundane-staring-at-a-screen-until-my-eyes-burn-out-of-my-head-oh-my-god-the-monotony” sort of way. Despite my sarcasm, I am slightly interested – just because of the types of work involved. Besides, I sit and stare at this god forsaken screen for hours on end in my normal routine anyway. Admittedly, it does feel good reaffirm my intelligence and memory retention … especially this far out from my General High School Education. Apparently I’m really good with words and technology … who would’ve thought, eh?
Any how. My wife is home now. I need to grab some info from her to finalize some documentation … hopefully soon.
