Yesterday was one of my more lazier days. I spent most of it in front of my computer. Which isn’t a big change in my habits – but with school out and my Future Soldier online training complete I decided to play Warcraft. I’ve a Shaman that I’ve been leveling, a toon that I want to endgame content before I ship out. The Warcraft wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t get so absorbed into it – to the point that I neglected to do my exercises.

Scheduling is another habit that I need to work on. I’m still debating if I should change my schedule to conform to one irregularity of if I should cut the irregularity out of my schedule. Monday night is a night that I spend with Ed & Josh where we get lost in a world of dorky gaming … that typically results in my going to sleep at 0300 or 0400. Needless to say, it really messes with my schedule and by the time I can find my rhythm again, Monday rolls around again. Either way, an adjustment needs to be made.

We bought a pull up bar for me yesterday. That’s something that I really – I do mean “really” – need to work on. I can barely manage to do one and the pain in my pectorals makes me grit my teeth. Running is the other thing that I need to work on. I can run in short bursts, but that’s not going to cut it for my pre-BCT PT test. So, I’m going to try to run everyday. My ability to do push ups comfortably seems to be intermittent, however, my sit ups are getting steadily better. Overall, I’ve seen improvement in my endurance … and I will be ready for the physical demands of BCT when I ship out.

I’m changing my exercise regimen for those days that I’m not doing Tae Bo to be walk-running around my block twice and doing my CD2 regimen as required of the week. I should probably drive around the block to figure out how far I’m really running. I’ve sworn off drinking sodas. It’s now just water and juice … I’m not drinking enough water when I have a surplus of soda in the house – mainly because the water is a walk away while the soda is right there across from my living room. So, my New Year’s resolution that I’m starting now is to cut the laziness out of my life.
