Agents of Empire
The Agents of Empire is currently a collaborative effort still in its infancy. Our current mission is to present a quality alternative to the typical night out in Honolulu through good electronic dance music. This website details mostly the efforts of one member of The Agents of Empire, I/O CONTROL. However, as The Agents of Empire slowly brings itself to bear, the content will reflect the efforts of all who are involved. We do invite you to stick around and check back regularly. New mixes are posted on a semi-regular basis and we’ll be updating the events where you can find us (either individually or as a group).
If you would like to get in touch with us you can contact I/O CONTROL through his e-mail address or through IM: IOCONTROL808.
Agents of Empire was an idea hatched by Kirk W. (I/O CONTROL) and Russel D. (Russoul) back in 2005 as a tongue-in-cheek response to the socio-political environment of Honolulu’s underground dance scene. However, as time progressed, the duo turned into a group of thirteen people who held one belief: the music transcends politics and we are the ambassadors of the music.
Due to a series of events that have rocked the foundation of my life, the status of AoE was neglected for two years. I’m now back to help pick up the pieces and start rebuilding what’s left of the crew. The members who have done much to keep AoE’s presence from fading in the my absence are DJs Russoul, SailorGloom, and Kyoko. You cannot possibly understand how much I appreciate this.
… to be completed.
