Over a year had passed since I found myself behind the decks in a club. The dry-spell had been broken Saturday, July 23rd, 2011 thanks to DJ MissGuided and the Dancing Ferret sponsored event, Dracula’s Ball. I packed my backpack with my somewhat new Apple 13” MacBook Pro, an upgraded Native Instruments Traktor Scratch Pro 2, the old Denon headphones that I’ve had forever now, and some 11.7 thousand songs at my finger tips I may have been a little over-prepared for a night where I would only have 2.5 hours or less of playtime. So I finally broke down and shelled out the cash to upgrade my current virtual DJ software to the latest and greatest version of Native Instruments Traktor Scratch Pro 2.  What prompted this upgrade, you ask?  Well, a good friend of mine decided to call me out of the blue one day to invite me to this crazy event out in Philadelphia, PA called “Dracula’s Ball” and, of course, I couldn’t say no … it’s been over a year since I’ve last stood behind a DJ booth – I need a bit of release.  Thank you, DJ MissGuided, for the opportunity. It has been a long, long, long while (read as THREE years) since I last cut a recording of my mixing.  Now that I have my TraktorScratch system and CD players, the time is now.  And to make up for lost time, I shall be releasing two maybe three sets:

Three agents meet up in Las Vegas to rock a DEFCON afterparty. IOControl, Russoul, and Sailorgloom. My set to be determined.

I’m currently waiting on flyer work which will be posted after the break.

My wife and I will be flying into Las Vegas from July 29th – August 3rd for both a long overdue honeymoon and I have a DJ gig for a convention afterparty. I’ll post more information as it becomes available to me.
